A very acceptable pale ale with lovely hoppy flavours and citrusy notes. It’s also quite sweet and has definite caramel undertones. However it but does have a dry bitter finish which helps to compensate for this sweetness. Served cold from the bottle this was most enjoyable and just gets a 3 star rating from me.
Ultimately, it’s not the most memorable of beers and not one I would class as an outstanding and best of class pale ale – but worth a try – because that’s my opinion!
A light golden Summer beer, with a citrusy hop character. Serve it slightly cooler than usual for an ale, to enhance its refreshing quality. Strength: 4.3% ABV. Available: Summer – May to August
A blend of Maris Otter pale & extra pale ale malt in the mash tun. 100% First Gold hops in the copper, for that distinctive citrus hop bite!
