St Austell Korev to be served in Browns brasseries

St Austell’s popular Cornish lager, Korev, will be available in Browns restaurants across the UK from this month in an exclusive deal with the brasserie chain

The 4.8% ABV beer will be the only English lager sold on draught in Brown’s 27 upmarket locations, which stretch from Bristol to Edinburgh and include seven London eateries.

Korev — named after the traditional Cornish word for beer — is made using finest lager malt from barley grown in Cornwall and has won a loyal following for its clean, crisp taste and wonderful pale colour.

Martin Breading, national sales director at St Austell Brewery, said:

“We are delighted to see Korev Cornish Lager being served across the Browns estate. The initial trials proved very successful, with excellent rates of sale and positive feedback from Browns customers.

“Korev is craft brewed to an authentic lager brewing method over a 25-day period using only natural ingredients, including Cornish-grown lager malt. Quality and flavour were key factors for Browns when they chose Korev. We are immensely proud that customers can now enjoy Korev in Browns Bars and Brasseries across the country.”
