Thornbridge Brewery Scoop 2 World Beer Awards!
Thornbridge Brewery are celebrating today after winning two awards in the prestigious World Beer Awards 2013.
After four rounds of judging in blind tastings of nearly 600 beers from more than 30 countries Thornbridge’s Wild Raven was voted, for the second year running, the World’s Best Black IPA and their Tzara the Best Kolsch Beer in Europe.
Thornbridge’s Head Brewer Rob Lovatt on hearing about the awards, said:
“Absolutely delighted. For Wild Raven to win two years running is a great tribute but we are also really proud that a British brewery has shown that it can make a great Kolsch – a style of beer that is often viewed as something only made well in mainland Europe.”
Thornbridge always strive to be innovative, passionate and knowledgeable about what they do – and it appears to be paying off – congrats!
