National Trust Craft Beer Club is Launched

In partnership with the National Trust, Delavals officially announced the launch of the National Trust Beer Club earlier this month.

It’s a great new way to get the very best craft beers, real ales and cider direct to your door.

Membership to the club starts from £40 a year and members will benefit from their own expertise as they hand pick some of the finest brews from independent microbreweries around the UK.

Over 100 beers are available right now through the club, and more will follow quickly.

Along with their own beers, the range includes some local favorites such as Allendale, Wylam, Durham and High House Farm.

The first chairman of the club will be their very own chief beer taster – John Gilfillan, who made the following comments about the launch:

“There has been a real explosion in craft beers in the UK, with over 1,000 breweries now making over 4,000 brands of beer between them. The National Trust Beer Club will help to support regional breweries by connecting them with beer connoisseurs throughout the UK.”

“Our partnership with the National Trust began when it purchased Seaton Delaval Hall in 2009. The building, like a number of other National Trust properties, used to have a working brewery on site and inspired our Seaton Delaval Hall Pale Ale.

“Since then we have produced a range of ales that celebrate our great northern landmarks, and created the National Trust Great British Beer Collection. When new members join, their first case is made up of three bottles of each of the four beers in this range.”

John Gilfillan, Delavals Director.

Delavals recently became the only licenced brewer to the National Trust in the UK and today we are thrilled to become the licenced operators of their first ever beer club.
