Great Newsome Brewery Celebrates Hull City Milestone

Local brewer Great Newsome Brewery is promoting local footballing success by collaborating with the Hull City Official Supporters Club and producing a new bottled craft beer to celebrate the club’s 10th anniversary.

A run of 3,000 bottles of the black and amber branded “Tigers’ Pride” has been produced to help fans celebrate the HCOSC milestone and will go on sale in the run up to the festive period. The name for the amber coloured beer came following a request by HCOSC to its members to come up with a suitable title for a commemorative beer.

The 4.1% session bitter which is light amber in colour has been brewed by the award winning Great Newsome Brewery which recently won the title for its Frothingham Best of ‘World’s Best Bitter up to 5%’ in the World Beer Awards. Tigers’ Pride will be on sale from numerous outlets including directly from Great Newsome Brewery, Tigers Leisure at the KC Stadium and online through Yorkshireales.co.uk.

Matthew Hodgson from Great Newsome Brewery, said

“As huge Hull City fans we jumped at the chance to brew a beer to help celebrate the anniversary of the official supporters club. It gave us chance to brew a brand new beer that we think the fans will love but it is just a shame you can’t brew beer that’s both amber and black in colour

“Like many other Hull City fans I am looking forward to raising a glass of Tigers’ Pride to Steve Bruce and the boys over the festive period”
